The year was 2015, and I was entering my sophomore year of high school. I begged my mother to let me ride the bus, ironically, only to hang out with my friends at the bus stop. My close guy friend at the time, who I've known since middle school, introduced me to a group of friends he hung out with at the bus stop. I already knew some of the people in the group, but one boy he introduced me to was Dylan. Later found out we also went to the same middle school. He's a sweet, hilarious boy who's kinda really cute. Every day after school at the bus stop, we'd hang out in our little group. Eventually shared numbers, social media, and grew mutual crushes on each other, and talked just about every day. We would message here and there; I even spilled my feelings about him to my friends, to my grandmother, on a long beach trip we took in the summer, just us girls. We eventually stopped talking as much. Years later, in 2019, I had stopped at a local Walmart, and crossed paths with Dylan. I hadn't seen him in what seemed like years, we caught up somewhat, and I went on my way. In July of 2021, I messaged Dylan after not talking since our last path crossed to ask which beach he was staying at, because I was at the beach too. After that, we started talking a lot, catching up on life, him being a good friend to me as always, through boy trouble. He was going through his own relationship troubles, so we decided to hang out and catch up, like old times. Funny enough, he invited me to " run errands" with him. Seems like after the one day we spent together, all our feelings for each other came back, and we haven't spent a single day apart. We fell madly in love with each other. I can be myself around him because we've been best friends since 2015. We became pregnant shortly after dating in 2021, and it has since been the best thing to happen to both of us, not only loving each other deeply, but having the product of our deep love in this world is beautiful. The whole point of our crazy love story is the String Theory. You could grow up together, go to the same schools, live in the same town, but you'll never know you were meant for each other until it's time. The universe keeps two people apart until it's the right time. You'll look back and see they were there all along, connected to you. The string may have been tangled, but it never breaks. Every delay, every detour was quietly preparing their hearts for each other.
