In December 2017, Glenn was managing the Uptown French Truck Coffee, and both he and Dylan lived just around the corner. Dylan’s roommate at the time (and groomsmaid!) Molly told him there was a cute barista he should check out. When Dylan came in, he was wearing the same t-shirt that Glenn had been gifted as a birthday present a couple years earlier, giving Glenn an excuse to strike up a conversation. Using the pretense of providing great customer service, Glenn was uncharacteristically forward and flirtatious with the handsome man with the baby blue eyes. After a few weeks of Dylan studying at French Truck (with a newly increased work ethic) and fleeting moments of flirtation, Dylan and Glenn crossed paths on Easter Sunday after the parade in the French Quarter. At that point, Glenn decided it was time to do some light Facebook stalking and find Dylan. The following Saturday, on a rainy afternoon, Glenn went home early from a slow café and received a message from Dylan playfully scolding him for being online at work. Glenn explained he went home early due to the rain and asked Dylan what he was up to. Dylan answered that he was waiting out the storm by watching Parks and Recreation, and Glenn all but invited himself over. After spending the afternoon talking, watching Grey’s Anatomy, and drinking wine, Glenn knew the connection he found was with someone he would stay friends with for life. As it turned out, Dylan was the person he would want to spend the rest of his life with. Luckily, Dylan felt the same way.
