The beginning of Callie and Dylan’s love story goes back roughly 23 years. Connor, Callie’s older brother, and Dylan met in preschool and quickly became good friends. Over the years, as the two played on various sports teams together, Callie and Dylan often found themselves in the same circle. It wasn’t until the pandemic that their friendship grew into something more. They began spending more time together, and after receiving Connor’s blessing, Dylan asked Callie out on their first date. At the time, Callie was finishing her studies at Illinois State University while Dylan had recently moved to Wrigleyville to begin his career. Many weekends were spent traveling back and forth, with Dylan taking the train to Bloomington and Callie driving into the city, making every visit special. Their bond only strengthened as time went on. Together, they got their dog Rayme, took summer trips to Traverse City, Michigan, moved in together, attended the Indiana versus Miami National Football Championship game, and made countless memories along the way. Their journey to forever began at Herrick Lake, a favorite spot for long walks with Rayme, where Dylan proposed.
