(Dylan's Perspective approved by Alex!) Me and Alex have known who each other were pretty much all of high school but we never really connected until the end of senior year whenever we sat near each other in English class. I thought Alex was very cute so I started talking to her whenever I could and trying to make her laugh whenever I could and apparently it worked because she thought I was very funny on twitter too. After noticing that Alex was liking a bunch of my tweets I tagged her in a post I made and then we started DMing and I asked for her number. After texting non-stop for a few weeks I finally asked her on a date! We went to a movie that she had already seen (I found out this later) but I was so charming that she didn't even care and sat through it anyways. I held her hand for the first time at that movie and then took her to a fancy dining experience at Braum's, I hate Braum's! However, Alex doesn't.
(Alex's prospective, approved by Dylan, LOL) We started dating right after graduation (2013) and we spent the summer learning as much as we could about one another before we headed into long distance. Dylan headed to College Station, TX and I headed to Lawrence, KS where we would start our college career! 8 months into our relationship the 10 hour distance, full schedules and social commitments took its toll and we went our separate ways. And after a semester of silence, we reconnected as friends, keeping each other updated on our life events, such as Dylan transferring to OU!! Fast forward to Thanksgiving break of 2017, Dylan I went to dinner one night to catch up and this is when I realized I had feelings for him again. We then spent a lot of our Christmas break together and during this time I truly realized he was my forever. New Years Eve rolled around and Dylan asked me to be his girlfriend (again) and the long distance journey began yet again, but only 5 hour difference this time!! We had grown up a lot, learned a lot, and realized we did not want to lose this again. And we did it! 2 years (and still counting) of roadtrips, airline miles (thank you mom & dad) facetime dates, dropped phone calls, letters and hard goodbyes. Now, the countdown begins to FINALLY starting our life together and living not only in the same state BUT together!
