What is the wedding day dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal or cocktail attire. Though there are two things to consider. There will be walking required along uneven natural ground for both the ceremony and dinner, so please wear stable, non-stiletto shoes. It also gets a little chilly at the top of the mountain, so a jacket or coat are probably a good idea.

Do we need to bring the tickets from the invite?

Answer

Not actually! We just made those for fun, feel free to leave them at home, or to bring them for photos

Is everyone staying at the same hotel?

Answer

Ideally! We've negotiated a group discount rate at the Hilton and would love for you to stay with us as well! You are of course welcome to stay somewhere else if you find something else that is more to your liking.

When should I plan to arrive and leave?

Answer

For most guests, we recommend arriving and checking into the hotel Friday evening and checking and departing Sunday. We will be visiting the Santa Cruz boardwalk Sunday after the wedding, so feel free to depart later in the day or schedule a later flight if you would like to join us! For the wedding party and family, we recommend arriving a little earlier, either Thursday evening or Friday morning.

If I am out of state, where should I fly in?

Answer

San Jose is the closest main airport, it is a 45 minute drive north of Santa Cruz. We recommend flying in here and renting a car to drive down and back for the weekend. San Francisco is another option at 1 hour and 15 minute drive away. If you have no ideal flights options to San Jose, we'd recommend flying in here.

Will there be any hotel or airport shuttles during the weekend

Answer

No, unfortunately there will not be. We strongly recommend either driving in if you live in California, or renting a car for the weekend if flying in from out of state. If you need to carpool or to share a rental car with another guest, reach out to us and we will see what we can arrange
