Once upon a time—specifically December 11, 2021—we got engaged at the Biltmore in Asheville, NC. It was romantic, magical, and immediately followed by a question we’ve been answering ever since: “So when are y’all getting married?” And then we waited. And waited. And waited some more. In the four years since that day, the world kept spinning. Friends got engaged. Friends got married. Friends got pregnant. Some people managed to do all three—twice. Meanwhile, we perfected the art of saying things like, “Soon!” and “We’re not sure yet.” and the classic, “We’ll let you know.” In 2024, Tab confidently announced: “We are absolutely getting married in 2025.” She meant it. Truly. Deep in her soul. (Details were… TBD.) Fast forward to August 2025, when we finally did what we do best: made a bold decision at the last possible moment. A date was chosen. December 31, 2025. Was it random? Yes. Was it dramatic? Also yes. Was it suddenly only 3.5 months away? Definitely yes. And just like that, after years of patience, curiosity, and relentless questioning from our favorite people, here we are—planning a wedding at record speed, closing out the year, and officially proving that we did, in fact, have a plan all along. Ok, maybe we didn’t have a plan all along—but we (Tab) said it with impressive confidence. We’re so excited to finally celebrate this long-awaited moment with the people who have been asking, wondering, teasing, and cheering us on since day one. Thank you for sticking with us through the longest engagement ever (slight exaggeration, but it felt earned). We can’t wait to ring in the New Year—and our marriage—with you. 🥂 P.S. For a more current representation of us (four years wiser, slightly different hairstyles, same love), head over to the Gallery to check out our recent engagement photos.
