Grand Lake is small town at over 8000 feet elevation near Rocky Mountain National Park. The lake is Colorado's largest and deepest natural lake.

Rocky Mountain National Park

The west entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park is just a mile and a half from Gateway Inn! Check out the Kawuneeche Visitor Center. Just remember that RMNP has timed reservations 9 am to 2pm daily in September. Reserve ahead, make a last-min reservation the night before, or go after 2pm.
