Think of a wedding between a Mirkwood and Rivendell elf. So fantasy forest. Lots of earthy tones.
We don't expect anyone to buy something new for this but if you want a general guideline it is more muted/soft colors (so if you can, avoid colors like fire truck red or hot pink and such). For suits, jackets are optional. Bridesmaids will be in a sage green color so if you are able to avoid that it would be awesome. Ultimately, wear something you are comfortable in, we are just happy to have you there. If you have anything specific that you want to wear but really aren't sure about, feel free to message either Anna or Dylan (probably Anna).
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide lodging, but there are a lot of places to stay nearby. If you would like any recommendations, please let us know! Nearby towns include Leesburg and Winchester.
The venue is a barn next to the owners house so we just ask that the cars remain out of the way in case her family needs to leave at any point. There is a front yard of the barn I believe most people park at and we will have someone to help direct you where to go. It is not a huge area so if you can carpool with others going it would be appreciated.
As you can see from the tab here, we do not have a large registry. At this point we have been living together for almost 8 years so we don't have many things we need. We also understand that many of you are making the expensive journey out here and feel that that is enough a gift. If you still would like to gift us something we have given a few options to help us on our honeymoon savings, just know we do not expect you to.
The venue is a barn with the ceremony being outside and the reception indoors. There are horses on the property so keep an eye out for wandering kids. Speaking of which, there is a prep room for the bridal party which will be available for the kids and parents to use if they need it after the ceremony.
