Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask everyone to look and feel their best. Our recommendation is for a semi-formal attire. For masculine presenting individuals that might look like some dress pants with a collared shirt, linen trousers with a collared shirt, khaki pants with a button up dress shirt, or any of these options dressed up with a sport coat. For feminine presenting individuals that might look like a midi to maxi length dress or skirt with a blouse, a pant-suit or jumper outfit, or even a pair of trousers with a blouse. Our ask is that people also refrain from wearing white.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the time listed on the invitation to comfortably park and find seating.

Is the reception venue close to the ceremony?

Answer

Our reception venue is about a 45 minute drive from our ceremony. Our cocktail hour will be ready for you with cold drinks, small bites, and our live mariachi band!

What food should I expect at the reception?

Answer

Our cocktail hour will have light bites like fruit, salads, snack mixes and more. Our dinner will be a buffet style meal with protein choices of a classic midwestern chicken dinner, a Mexican chile negro with pork, or beef "a la Mexicana" (slow cooked with tomato and peppers). There will be sides of nopales (Mexican cactus salad), a simple tossed salad, refried beans, green beans, Mexican and Spanish rice. There will also be a dessert bar with a variety of pastries representing the couple's cultural backgrounds.

La cena será de estilo bufé, con opciones de proteína que incluyen un clásico plato de pollo Americano, carne de puerco en chile negro, o carne de res "a la mexicana." Aparte de eso, se ofrecerán ensalada de nopales, una sencilla ensalada mixta, frijoles refritos, y arroces de estilo mexicano y español. También habrá una mesa de postres con una variedad de postres que representarán los orígenes culturales de la pareja.

Does the wedding ceremony and reception have air conditioning?

Answer

Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors with air conditioning. As weddings go, it may be chilly while seated, but will definitely warm up as the dancing begins!

Answer

Tanto la boda como la recepción se celebrarán con aire acondicionado. Como suele ocurrir en las bodas, es posible que sientan un poco de fresco mientras estén sentados, ¡pero sin duda tendran calor en cuanto comience el baile!
