We're Getting Married!

How We Met Dyana's version: Deray always had a crush on me since I was in middle school and he was in high school. He was even my valentine when I was in 8th grade and he was a Sophomore. When I made it to high school he would walk me to class and talk to me about leaving my current boyfriend for him. One day, I finally took his advice and broke up with my boyfriend. Deray had just finished playing a football game versus Woodville. I went to the football bus to tell him but instead told his friends because I couldn't find him. They went and found him for me and the rest is history. Deray's version: It was my senior year in high school. I was the star athlete in my little town. I remember playing a football game against Woodville and I killed it. After the game, ESPN was interviewing me and I looked towards the fence and there was this long, skinny-necked girl smiling at me (and she was cute). I walked over to her and she told me she had finally broken up with her boyfriend. And the rest was history.

Everyone was invited to our house to celebrate Deray's birthday. It felt like a normal birthday party we were hosting at our new house. I went outside with his sister to check on the food. When I tried to go back into the house his sister pretended to hold me outside. It was then that I realized something was up. We finally walked back into the house and Deray was standing in the middle of a heart made out of rose petals. He was so nervous he said "I love you more than cheeseburgers", which is saying a lot! After a lot of tears, I finally said "YES"!!! We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you in May!
