Where is the ceremony & reception?

Answer

Everything is at the rental house. It is outside in the lawn overlooking the Rappahannock River. The house, "Pop Castle", is a historic landmark and the property used to be 380 acres. It is now a Registered Historic Landmark. We will have some of the first floor opening for curious eyes, but please respect the blockades for restricted areas. Patrick first fell in love with this property with the massive and mature trees on the property.

Will parking be available

Answer

Yes! We have parking behind the house. There is very limited, if any Ride Shares/ Ubers in the area, so make sure carpool/ DDs have been pre-planned.

How fancy is this party?

Answer

Fancy is Ashley's second favorite F word. So please dress to the nines in Black Tie Optional. We also have color scheme we would love to see you in- check out the "What to Wear" page on this website. Please no whites/creams, but all other colors are welcome. We are in the lawn, so be mindful of pointy high heels. Black Tie Optional means tea, ankle or floor length gowns or a 2-3 peice suit.

Are kids invited?

Answer

We want to have permission to act up on our special day and would prefer not to have impressionable young minds watching. There is also open water with sometimes strong currents. We hope this can be a good weekend for parents to relax & reconnect with us and each other.

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Bring an umbrella and we will pivot our plans to make sure everyone is still having a good time.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

The only ones invited are specifically addressed on the invitation. It takes so much coordination to add anyone unexpected.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We are getting the wedding catered with a sit down meal. So please fill out the dietary information when you RSVP (by April 24th)
