Visit General Custer's home and the barracks, lookout towers and the on-a-slant Indian village. Fort Abraham Lincoln is ND's oldest state park. General Custer lived on the grounds from 1873 until the Battle of the Little Big Horn in 1876.
The North Dakota State Capitol offers one of the best views in Bismarck-Mandan. Take the elevator to the top floor where you will get a bird's eye view of the Capitol City. Or enjoy a scenic walk around the Capitol Grounds where you can see the Governor's Mansion, the State Library and the ND Heritage Center.
