Back in 2019, Josh & Kayleigh had the classic Florida State University meet-cute: hitting it off in the Potbelly's Beer Garden. After that night, Josh agreed to go to Kayleigh's Gamma Phi Beta semi-formal. Little did he know, this would not be the last of sorority events he would attend. Kayleigh and Josh were inseparable ever since. After just a few months of dating, the couple was soon forced to return home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This began the start of Josh & Kayleigh's FaceTime date nights. Due to modern-day technology, Kayleigh and Josh continued to binge their shows despite being 500 miles away from each other. Kayleigh and Josh returned to the normalcy at FSU with bagel dates, walks around campus, drinks at Township, and Kayleigh's sorority presidency (& Josh's first man duties) Despite wanting to stay, Kayleigh and Josh graduated from college. Josh began his sales career, and Kayleigh decided to attend grad school in Texas. The couple stayed together, which was the start of three years of long-distance. Kayleigh and Josh defied the odds. The couple continued their FaceTime dates, visiting during school breaks, and making the most of the time they had together in person. Upon Kayleigh's graduation from SMU, the couple decided to end their long-distance relationship and officially move in together in St. Petersburg, FL.
