Chapter I

When Boy Meets Girl

Physics Class, 11th grade. Courtney sat in front of Dustin and found him to be hilarious and charming. Dustin was ecstatic that a cute girl would talk to him. They quickly became close friends and in their senior year Dustin somehow built up the courage to ask Courtney to the prom. It was that night, that he knew they would end up together. Dustin and Courtney both went to Binghamton University, where they had their first kiss after eating Indian food. You can imagine what that tasted like. They have been inseparable ever since.

Chapter II

Two Peas in a Pod

Throughout college, they naturally gravitated towards the same interests and supported each other during their most stressful times. They discovered their shared love for literature and enjoyed taking genre specific lectures together. When Dustin needed a proofreader, Courtney would gladly play the part of editor. And when Courtney was overwhelmed by Japanese assignments or all nighter essays, Dustin would supply her with a gooey chocolate chip cookie and reassure her that everything would be fine. They continue to work well together in the same department at the BlueBook Network in Jefferson Valley. Known as, "that couple in the lunchroom," at the office, it was only a matter of time before people at headquarter's started asking questions. Surprisingly, the company likes to boast of their BlueBook families so there was no problem adding another working couple into the mix!

Chapter III

A Fall to Remember

Courtney and Dustin eagerly look forward to fall each year. The crisp air, sweater weather, changing leaves and festive decorations always put them in an excited mood. From rainy reading days to breezy autumnal afternoons, they both love the cozy and classic activities of the season. So, after an October of apple picking, cider donut eating and Great Jack O'Lantern Blazing, the two had planned on appreciating the ever changing landscape with a hike up Bear Mountain. Thankfully, Dustin managed to convince Courtney to take that fateful Friday, the 13th, off despite all her protestations. She was worried about work and feeling a bit lazy but they didn't want to miss the chance for another perfect fall excursion! So they geared up and headed out, not realizing just how long this hike would take. Every time they thought they reached the top, another sign pointing towards "the tower" would pop up telling them they had yet to reach their destination. With every new sign, some frustration started to settle in and Courtney would encourage taking a break or tell Dustin that, "maybe hiking just isn't for us." He seemed tired and oddly anxious to get to the peak so when they finally reached it, drenched in sweat, they sprawled out on the rocks and stared up at the sky during a well deserved moment of rest. And as Courtney awkwardly scrambled to her feet, worrying about her bedraggled appearance, she reached behind to help Dustin up only to find him down on one knee with a little box in his hands.
