If you are close enough to us to be one of the select few invited to our wedding then you probably know this story, but in the spirit of the Daily Dust and Dustin's love for repeating stories, here we go again! In October of 2017, Dustin took a chance and messaged Kelsey on a dating app and they quickly established a witty banter that was special and unique. Two weeks later, they planned their first date but of course, Dustin cancelled the day of because he was too tired (shocking). This is something that Kelsey would eventually learn is par for the course but at the time, she was frustrated. Luckily, Kelsey's best friend Kelly intervened and strongly encouraged her to reschedule the date, and the following morning they met. Dustin decided to take Kelsey to Veselka, one of his favorite restaurants in the city that serves the most delicious pierogies. While a Ukrainian diner in the middle of the East Village may seem like a strange choice first date, it happens to also be one of Kelsey's favorite restaurants. 14 hours, lots of cheese and several naps later, Kelsey and Dustin both knew that this was the start of something amazing and have been inseparable ever since. Fast forward 3 years and Dustin asked Kelsey to marry him on February 8, 2020 in a perfectly on-brand proposal. At home, with dinner prepared by a private chef and they were asleep by 9pm.
