& so our next adventure begins...

Best friend Nicci met Dustin. Nicci loved how sweet and kind he was. She felt he would be the perfect match for Sheryl. She gave him Sheryl's number. He texted Sheryl (after later admitting he almost didn't! Nicci wouldn't have let that happen though lol). After weeks of unfortunate events with each of their cars, they finally were able to set a time and place for their first date. They met at The Bridge Tap House + Wine Bar where they talked for four hours. And another hour outside before parting ways. Needless to say, they clicked immediately and the rest is history.

Since their first date, Dustin & Sheryl celebrated their first date on the same date and at the same restaurant they had their first date. The year prior they visited the lights at the Botanical Gardens before dinner so this year they decided to visit the Anheuser Busch Brewery Lights before dinner. It was an unusually warm night so they took their time walking around looking at lights and enjoying the weather. The reached the end of the lights and Dustin asked Sheryl what she wanted to do. She was ready to go eat at that time but Dustin insisted they go back to the beginning and walk through again in case there was any part of the lights that Sheryl may have missed to get a picture. They made it to the decorated tunnel where Sheryl stopped to take some more pictures and videos. They left the tunnel and stepped out to watch the light show on a building that was synced to the music playing. Dustin had his arm around Sheryl and asked her how much she loved him and if she really wanted to have a "super fancy dance party" with him. When she answered 'yes', he turned her around and dropped down to one knee. Sheryl was in complete shock but without a doubt in her mind said yes to spending the rest of her life with him!...Even though to this day, she's not sure if she actually ever said 'yes'. All she remembers asking is 'are you serious?' about five or six times. Of course, because you're here, it's obvious they both knew she meant yes :)
