FAQs

Below please find answers to any other questions you may have regarding our big day!
Question

Where can I stay in the area?

Answer

Check out the travel page of our website for a more comprehensive answer, but for the short answer: mention Jones or Lopinsky at the nearby Sunset Motor Inn and receive 10% off your stay! Camping is also permitted on the Fish and Game grounds, or nearby Stowe, VT will have plenty of higher end B&Bs and resorts.

Question

I didn't receive an RSVP, how can I do that?

Answer

Because the nature of our wedding is "the more the merrier," we have chosen to forego a traditional RSVP card. You can RSVP via our website or by contacting the bride or groom directly to give us a rough estimate for how many guests will be attending, however we will not have a seating chart, and seating will be (semi) limited- first come, first served.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We will be dressed up, but we want you to feel comfortable wearing whatever you'd like. Want to dress up with us? Great! Prefer jeans and a flannel? Also cool. If you're happy, we're happy.

Question

Will the reception follow a traditional wedding format?

Answer

Probably not. We will have dinner and dancing, but you can also expect cornhole, a bonfire, and games outside the tent.

Question

If I can't make the ceremony, can I still attend the reception?

Answer

Absolutely! And vise versa. Come and go as you like or pop in to celebrate with us when you can!

Question

What are you doing for food at the reception?

Answer

We will be having a pig roast! And of course, sides will also be provided buffet style, as well as plenty of cake to go around and a Pittsburgh style cookie table (learn more about this tradition at the reception!)

Question

What kind of drinks will be provided?

Answer

We will have kegs and wine on hand, as well as water and soda. You are welcome to BYOB.

Question

Is there an end time to the reception?

Answer

In theory, nope. Stay until dawn if you'd like.

Question

What about the next morning?

Answer

We have the clubhouse rented for the entire weekend, so be sure to join us Sunday morning for a quick farewell and thank you breakfast (bagels, juice and the sort) to nurse your hangover or grab some nourishment before traveling home, if you're traveling.

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

Yes, we have a small registry which you can find here on our website. We are also saving to buy a house.

Question

So the ceremony and reception are in different places?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony will be taking place at Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish, and the reception to follow will be held at the Lamoille Valley Fish and Game Club. They are three miles apart.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes, at both the ceremony and reception.

Question

Is it an open bar?

Answer

More like open keg, and we are also providing wine. But of course you are more than welcome to bring your own liquor.
