We're getting married!

We met through mutual friends (Lucas + Asche) several years ago, but we didn't start dating until we ran into each other again, at the same friends' home, in 2017. As it turns out, we had crossed paths many times at bonfires in high school. We remember some of the same stories and have similar memories, but just didn't know each other yet. The world was still preparing us to be the people we are today, when we were ready to fall in love!

We were on a camping trip outside of Greer, AZ - 9,600 ft. elevation, just the two of us. Before the proposal we went on a short hike that was supposed to have some spectacular views at the end. On the way we came across some elk in the forest and stopped to watch. A moment turned into 20 minutes of listening, sipping wine, and having a full blown conversation with these Elk. Yes, I was talking in Elk, to the Elk. Dustin was impressed. Needless to say, the sun set quickly and we hiked back in the dark instead of going to the top. Back at camp we had a little fire, and Dustin talked all about us; how he wants to have a family together, when he knew I was the one, our trust. And then he got down on one knee while the speaker played our song, and I felt like the luckiest girl alive.
