A dream fulfilled

It started with a mutual friend trying to set us up. And though it didn't work out, over time our paths slowly began to cross. It didn't take long before others had the same idea as our mutual friend: "Hey, Dustin and Kim should probably go on a date." But the timing still wasn't quite right. Then, as the pandemic began to shut doors around the country, it inadvertently opened a door for us. We started talking more (talking, bantering, flirting...whatever you want to call it). And from those interactions, a friendship began to blossom. Then one day, after a three-hour phone call, we decided to give dating a try. We discovered that we had a lot of fun together; It was easy to do life with each other. And it didn't take long for us to realize that this was a good fit after all.

So after months of axe-throwing, walks in the park, sweet notes, and life-giving conversations, we decided to make this friendship last for life. In February, we went to visit family in Panama City, and during the trip, got engaged on Mexico City beach. (Totes romantic, right?) So here we are, on the cusp of a new adventure together. The eighteen+ people who tried to convince us to date proved to be right. We're excited to start this next leg of the journey together: to love each other like crazy and to serve Jesus and others with all our hearts...as a team.
