Dustin and I met accidently through Facebook. I was home from work "sick" scrolling social media, when somehow I landed on his page. You know how it can go, you start on one person's page, that leads you to another person's page, that leads you to another person's page. Next thing you know an hour has passed by of you looking at pictures of people that you have never seen in you life. After us both liking several of each other' s pictures, We immediately realized that we had a lot in common, including having sons Harry and Ryan, that were both six at the time. I knew Dustin was different from other guys I previously dated early on into our relationship, when he met me at a local sports bar despite my son’s father being present at the table. Dustin confidently walked in, sat at table, and introduced himself. Right then and there I knew he was special. Our relationship began to move rather quickly, and within a few months we were living together. 2018 was a pretty significant year for our family. I finished grad school in May of that year, we closed on a new home at the end of June, and on. A week after closing on our home, we received the news that we would be adding a fifth member to our family. On February 12, 2019 we welcomed our fist child together, Brooklyn Chase Lindsay. Dustin and I also share a love for working with individuals with disabilities. I work for the state of Virginia as a rehabilitation counselor, and Dustin works as a direct support staff in residential housing. Recently we have decided not only to be life partners, but also business partners, with the start of our own residential housing facility for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
