We met unexpectedly. A high school friend and her husband were visiting in NYC and we had dinner plans. Her husband was meeting up with a friend before hand for drinks and convinced his friend to dinner. This friend, Dustin, was the first person I saw when I walked into the restaurant. It was like a scene from a movie, all the light around him dimmed and I thought to myself, "I have to get to know that man". A second later, I realized he was sitting with my friends. Thankfully, Dustin also felt a similar draw and within two weeks we were out on our first date and have been inseparable since.
