McCall is a beautiful little town with plenty of hikes and lakes to explore nearby. Our favorite trails are: Louie Lake, Boulder Lake, Meadow Marsh Loop. Nearby hot springs to check out include Gold Fork and Trail Creek. If you want to get out on Payette Lake, there's plenty of marinas offering rentals for kayaks, paddle boards, water ski's, etc. Restaurants: Fogglifter Cafe, The Den on Payette (brunch), McCall Brewing Co.
The lodge has lakefront access to Lake Payette with a beach area and marina for kayak & canoe rentals. There are outdoor pools and hot-tubs with a poolside bar, as well as lakeside s'mores every night. The front desk has bikes free for you to use to explore town if you ask for them! If you're a golfer, you get access to Whitetail Golf Course if you stay at the Lodge. Inside, there is a movie theater in the lodge you can check out for nightly showings. The Cove Spa is indoor / outdoor spa with a hot spring (we highly recommend - but book in advance!). There's also a coffee shop, bar, and two restaurants (The Narrows and Cutwater).
We love downtown Boise for it's restaurants, speakeasies, shops, and bars! 8th Street downtown and Hyde Park are great areas to check out. Restaurants: The Wylder {wood fired pizza}, Percy {slightly upscale American food}, Barbacoa {hot rock steaks, and the BEST guac}, Bittercreek Alehouse {great casual food}, Acero {charcuterie & wine}, Certified {coffee shop} Speakeasies: Thick as Thieves, Press & Pony, Eight Horses Lounge, Gatsby1920. If you're looking to get outdoors, our favorite hikes in the Boise area are: Table Rock (best at sunset!), Adelmann Mine, Freddys Stack Rock, Shaw Mountain.
