After much deliberation, we have decided to keep our date for this year. But please know that we will be keeping an eye on the vaccine rollout and WILL push it out if we decide it is too unsafe to have. The safety and comfort of everyone attending is our top priority.
The ultimate answer is up to you. What we can say at this point is that the venue is completely outdoors with a capacity for 300 people. Maryland has approved up to 50% capacity effective March 12, 2021, and we have a guest list of approximately 80 people.
We ask that if you do not feel safe attending a wedding in May, to decline the RSVP. We understand that everyone has to make the call, but if you want to reach out to the bride or groom and ask about why we decided to move forward, please don't hesitate!
Since both the ceremony and reception are outdoors and many states have opened vaccination to those 16+, we will not be requiring masks, but we will have masks available. Additionally you WILL be required to wear a mask when getting food and drinks. This is for the respect and safety of the vendors who will be serving you.
We will be checking temperatures at the door and will determine further measures closer to the date, including requiring a vaccine or negative CoVID test. We will make the dance floor extra large to ensure safe social distancing for those who would like to ensure they maintain distance. There will also be extra tables for those who would prefer to eat only with their plus one and not with other people. As we get closer to the date, we will determine if more serious measures need to be taken. We will keep this page updated as we make decisions.
We respectfully ask that you leave the kids at home and come celebrate with us.
We ask for cocktail or garden attire, but find it more important that you are comfortable than wearing your nicest pair of shoes!
If your invitation does not indicate a plus one, we ask that you do not bring another person with you. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to the bride or groom.
We are doing a buffet! This will give a lot of options as well as full stomachs. For your dining pleasure we will be serving the following: Hors d'oeuvres: Fruit & Vegetable Platter (v), Caramelized Onion & Beet Tasting Spoons (veg), Broccoli & Cheddar Mini Quiche (veg), Spring Rolls (v) Entrees: Herb Roasted Chicken Quarters, Ginger Garlic Flank Steak We will have a separate option for our vegan/vegetarian guests (potentially pasta of some sort), but this will be strictly limited to ensure all our guests are accommodated. Sides: Roasted Potatoes, Grilled Vegetables, Salad, Rolls & Butter - all are vegan and vegetarian friendly. We will have an assortment of desserts that will please everyone's palettes! If you have any restrictions we have not been made aware of, please reach out to the bride or groom so we can ensure you have something to eat!
