We met at the Dixie Chicken on Northgate when we were both bartending out there. It was 1:55 AM and I was ready to get out of there and drive home to McAllen after work to visit my family. I had already finished cleaning when Dustin walked in with his friends to take a shot on their tour of bars they hated. I was super annoyed, especially when Dustin made a joke about how short I was. He added me on Facebook and we agreed to go on a date, and it all went from there. Since then we've fallen in love, gone on adventures, and dreamed about our future. We can't wait to share this moment with you all!
I thought Dustin was just throwing a regular old surprise party for my birthday at Downtown Elixir but there was so much more in wait. I guess I should've known he was going to propose when my parents showed up for dinner because they literally never visit me in College Station but I was so overwhelmed by all the love around me. Maybe I should've known when we were taking photos and everyone gathered in a huge horde around us by the fountain. I really should've known when Jackson told me I might want to put my beer down (oops!) for pictures. Nothing could've prepared me for how speechless I was when he proposed. Hands down, best birthday ever. We love you all!
