After first being introduced by a mutual friend, Joe and Lauren were heading back to his apartment to watch a movie. Little did Lauren know that Joe had flowers waiting at the entrance with a note that simply read, "Can I keep you?" to ask Lauren to be his girlfriend. After a much deliberation by Lauren, she said yes and the rest is history!

Eight years had passed since Lauren and Joe started dating. They had bought their first house earlier in 2019 and were ready for the next step. After a day of laboriously helping Lauren's sister move into her first apartment in Boston, Joe and Lauren, accompanied by her parents and siblings, enjoyed a nice dinner in downtown Boston. Little did Lauren know that the entire time Joe had hidden the ring in his pocket. Following dinner, Lauren and Joe made their way to Columbus Park to enjoy the nice weather and scenery. It was here that Joe would drop to his knee and ask Lauren to marry him, to which Lauren said yes with tears of joy welling in her eyes.
