Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jeffrey Walker and Olivia Durr
We are so excited to share our city with those of you who have never been! Nothing is farther than 20 minutes from the Woodcliff, and most are within 10-15 minutes of each other. We listed specific recommendations and a few cute neighborhoods to explore.
Highland Park

Highland Park

180 Reservoir Ave, Rochester, NY 14620

The lilac festival ends on May 18, but the lilacs will still be in bloom. Nothing prettier!

Genesee Brew House

Genesee Brew House

25 Cataract Street, Rochester, NY 14605

Local beer, good food, beautiful outdoor seating with a view of the Genesee River and High Falls!

Dogtown

Dogtown

691 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607

Get a garbage plate!! This is arguably the best plate in Rochester, but you could also get one at Bill Gray's (they usually have Abbotts attached, if you're into ice cream), or any of the "hots" (Fairport hots, Penfield hots, etc). Garbage plates are Jeff's favorite food and he will feel greatly dishonored if you don't try one on his wedding weekend. Dogtown also has vegan/vegatarian options, so no excuses.

George Eastman Museum

George Eastman Museum

900 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607

The Kodak guy! Tour his house or just go hang out in the gardens and have a picnic.

Wegmans

Wegmans

3195 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618

It's more than just a grocery store. Go to a Wegmans and have a meal in the prepared foods section!! The Pittsford Wegmans is like the motherland, Penfield is a good second. If you go to Pittsford, stop by Pittsford Dairy and get some ice cream while you're there! Or you could go to the East Ave Wegmans and get some food for your picnic at the George Eastman house!

Bar-Bill East

Bar-Bill East

1129 Empire Boulevard, Rochester, NY 14609

Jeff and I met here back in 2018. He lived at the apartments across the street (Water's Edge) and I worked behind the bar. It was a MacGregors at the time, Bar Bill is a chain from Buffalo - they have great wings and pizza logs!

Fairport

Fairport

Fairport, NY 14450

The Woodcliff is in Fairport, which is a really cute town full of shops and restaurants. My favorite thing to do in Fairport is get ice cream and walk the canal. You can walk along the Erie Canal while you window shop, or stop somewhere for a drink or to have lunch. At night there's Fairport Village Inn, Jeremiah's, LULU Taqueria + Mezcal for dinner and bars such as Tin Cup Social, Iron Smoke Distillery, and Donnelly's Irish Pub.

Park Avenue

Park Avenue

Park Avenue, Rochester, NY

Another really cute neighborhood full of shops, bars and restaurants in the heart of the city. Stop by Jines, Frog Pond, Cafe Sasso for breakfast; shop at Figgy Studio or Parkleigh, head to Magpie or Half Pint for drinks, Blu Wolf or Magnolia's for dinner or so many more! You could really spend a whole day here and its within about 10 minutes of everything else!

Schoen Place

Schoen Place

Schoen Place, Pittsford, NY 14534

Another cute area on the canal within 15 minutes of the Woodcliff, you could get breakfast at Simply Crepes, drinks at Lock 32, dinner at Aladdins Natural Eatery, and some ice cream at Pittsford Dairy!

For all the days along the way
