Bride: Years before I met Ola, God had been speaking to me about a man like him. A man with his interests, strengths, and growing points. A man that needed the kind of help God had made me and is still making me to become. When I first saw Ola, he immediately caught my eye—time stood still for my heart to skip a beat and for joy to fill my heart in a peculiar way. It was something. I met Ola at a church conference. I had never seen nor heard about him before, but after that day it was as if he was everywhere! By April, we were in a prayer group together. By November, we were fast friends and by January of the next year, our relationship took a turn into forever lane. It’s been a series of God-moments through the relationship. A series of confirmation and the showmanship of the seal of God on us, not just to us but also to our loved ones. I’m forever grateful for the seemingly mundane moments that in God’s eyes were really kairos moments. Truly, I was #Destined4Durowoju.
My Wonder Woman!! Meeting Winifred was the best thing that ever happened to me. I remember when I first met Winifred, It was on a regular weekday, one of those days were everyone should be at work, but we (and a bunch of other people) happened to be at church for a ministers conference. When I saw her, immediately the thought popped in my head "what if that's your wife". I had never had a thought like that about anyone before, and so that moment marked me. I kept looking at her, while she served and smiled and I was quite smitten by her. While we never spoke on that day, in a moment of stolen glances she looked at me, smiled and waved. I hoped God must have put a similar thought in her heart. November of the same year, I knew I was ready to intentionally pursue Winifred. We got to know each other a bit and before thanksgiving I had made my intentions for marriage known to her. Everywhere it counts, we were compatible. Not just in goals, or vision but in the way we wanted to serve God and people. I knew I had found the one my heart loved. By January 1st of the next year, I asked her to be mine officially and the rest like they say is History. Winifred, you’re my joy. God’s gift and reward to me. I am so proud and filled with awe and wonder that I get to do life with you. I love you, always.
