They always say you'll find love when you're not looking. Sophomore year at Mount Saint Mary College, in the trenches of Nursing school, I found Alec. He was funny, smart, patient, caring, and so so kind. Alec asked me to be his girlfriend on September 19th 2017. I knew I wanted to marry Alec embarrassingly early into our relationship. But luckily, I think Alec did too. I recall bursting at the seams to tell Alec "I love you" waiting and planning for the most perfect moment. But, of course in perfect Alec fashion; he turns to me so nonchalant and tells me he loves me. Over the next 7 years he would become a true life partner. Knowing me, supporting me, and grounding me.

I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Taylor within the first year of our relationship. Once we graduated college I really started to set the ball in motion. I was given my Grandma Johannes diamond at 12 years old. I knew this was the stone I wanted to give to Taylor. Taylor’s best friend Kacie helped with some inspiration and I took those ideas and ran with it. In June of 2022 I created the ring I knew Taylor would love. In August it 2022 I asked both of her parents for her hand. From then it was just crafting the perfect surprise. I knew two things: Taylor loves the Fall and she REALLY wants to be surprised. So one fall morning when the weather was right I called my cousin Patrick and told him the plan and all together we took a trip to the pumpkin patch. It was then out in the pumpkin fields I got down on one knee and asked Taylor to be my wife.

Taylor and Alec cannot wait to celebrate their love with you on September 13th 2025. The Branford house is a gorgeous historic landmark on the UConn Avery Point campus; located in Groton, CT. From The Branford House you will be able to see The Cross Sound Ferry which runs between New London and Orient, LI. These would be the ferries that Taylor and Alec would take to see each other during the course of their 7 year relationship.
