Shawn met Brittany many moons ago when they were actually in relationships with other people. Shawn has been friends with Danielle, Brittany's sister for many years before they actually met. Fast forward to December of 2020, Brittany was watching an episode of Yellowstone and decided to add a picture of it on her snapchat story. It was Shawn's time to shine then, he decided to respond to her story and say "You like that show too?!" The two proceeded to talk for several weeks before finally meeting up with friends in Franklin. Shawn was swoon by Brittany, and invited her over to his house for a beer. The two quickly were head over heels for each other, and really have been inseparable since.

It all started when we booked a trip with friends to Colorado to see Tyler Childers. Little did Brittany know Shawn would ask her to marry him on this trip. On the last day we went to Rocky Mountain National Park. At the highest point, and note the coldest point on the mountain, Shawn got down on one knee and popped the question. It was an immediate "Are you serious" and "Oh my god, yes!" from Brittany and as they say, the rest is history!
