We met through a dating app called Bumble. After talking for a week and a half through texts and phone calls, we decided to go on a date at Texas Roadhouse. Our date lasted over 3 hours at the restaurant. Rebekah was convinced that it would never work out because Dan had his heart set on moving to Montana and she had no plans on ever moving away. However, Dan wouldn't give up the opportunity to keep dating Rebekah. He said "it would take a special woman to keep him here in South Carolina." The rest is history! :)
After months of being quarantined, we decided to go out on a fancy date night. We had made reservations at the Cowboy Steakhouse in downtown Columbia. Before dinner, Dan had asked if we could walk around the Statehouse Grounds and look at the Monuments. As we walked around the Statehouse grounds, we ran into one of Dan's coworkers and his wife. They played it off as if they just happened to be there as well. As we were walking, Dan asked if we could get a picture together. As we were posing for the picture, Dan got on one knee and asked me to marry him! Without hesitation, I said "Yes!" We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with everyone!!
