It all started with a mutual friend—shoutout to Kanoyinsola! One day, Daniel appeared on the ChatsWithMyka podcast, and Dureti couldn’t help but notice how funny and charismatic he was. She hit “follow” on Instagram, not realizing that the guy who made her laugh through a podcast mic would one day be her husband. Fast forward a bit—Dureti moved to Atlanta, barely knowing anyone in the city. After being (just a little) standoffish in the DMs, she decided to finally send Daniel a message asking him to grab brunch over Memorial Day weekend in 2022. Both of them went into it thinking it would be a simple friendship… but let’s be honest—Dureti is gorgeous, and Daniel is pretty easy on the eyes too. From that brunch on, everything just clicked. They built an effortless, genuine friendship, but Daniel was intentional from day one—planning thoughtful dates, showing consistency, and revealing his heart through his actions (and of course, Dureti didn’t say no!). As time went on, God began weaving something deeper. Over the past three years, their relationship has been marked by growth—in love, in laughter, and most of all, in faith. Getting plugged into their church, Lifepoint Atlanta, was a huge part of that journey.
