We initially met in the 9th grade in gym class when we were both "dating" other people. We became friends but assumed the other was not interested. In 10th grade, we had an agriculture class together and I tried to set James up with one of my friends. As you can imagine that never worked out because James had no interest in that friend and began showing interest in me. We started dating in October of that year and have been together ever since. We've survived high school, long distance during 4 years of college, nursing school, the fire academy, starting new jobs, and becoming "real adults" and our love for each other has only grown stronger with each day and each new obstacle.

Savannah and I had a weekend beach trip to celebrate her new job, little did she know that this was the weekend that I was going to propose to her. I told Savannah that we had dinner reservations at a fancy restaurant so she would be dressed up. Once we where about to leave to go to dinner, her friend Kristen "Lost her dog" on the beach and needed our help. Once we go to the beach, Savannah was mad and hungry which wasn't exactly the best way to start my proposal. But once we got to the beach her friends had set up a picnic with pictures of us through the years and music. Walking to the picnic I was sweating bullets not knowing what I was going to say or how I was going to express how much I love Savannah. When we reached the picnic, I told Savannah how much I loved her and got down on one knee. She said yes (obviously) and our friends came out of their hiding place to join us to celebrate. We have anticipated getting married for so long and now the time has finally come. We are so excited to share our special day with you and can't wait for a lifetime of love and happiness together.
