Taken in April 2025 at a charity gala at the Field Museum as Sue, the T. rex looks on. It was the perfect opportunity to don the fur stole that belonged to Emily's late grandmother, Rose Mary Dunn.

At an event this year in Oak Park.

Mother's Day 2025 at Jeannette's apartment. Ellie likes to visit as well, although she's still trying to decide on her favorite recliner at grandma's apartment

On the subway back to our hotel in NYC this last July. It was a long day, but such a fun trip!

A recent pic of Ellie in all her glory, with a slight tongue tease.

Rescued from one of our digital cameras: a photo taken at Augustana College, where we first met.

Likely the second of five performances of "Wicked" that we've seen together. As we've grown older, Aaron leans to opera for live art, whereas Emily would gladly see and sing five musicals per day.

This photo was taken in the summer after our junior year at Augie. We were on our way to an approachably snobby dinner: a hobby that thankfully has become a mainstay in our relationship!

Emily's grandma unexpectedly gifted money to each grandchild in the summer of 2009. With student loans in forbearance, we ran to the nearest mall (forgive us) and found our fur baby, Ellie.
