Like many modern love stories, ours started with a swipe, but technically, it really started when Courtney slid into his Instagram DMs with the very smooth and very cringey line, "what's ur snap, my g" (but it worked!!!) Our first date was on September 7, 2023 at Slice Pizza, and from the very beginning, the chemistry was undeniable. In fact, he planned a second date before the first one was even over- and the rest, as they say, is history! What followed were countless pickle ball dates (she used to win every game...now he does), late-night conversations, endless laughter, and a love that only grew stronger with time. We went through every season together- celebrating the highs, weathering the lows, and proving that with love and teamwork, there's nothing that we cannot overcome together. And then came the proposal, which was SO HIM. He convinced her that they were going to an auction at the Botanical Gardens (on her birthday weekend, no less!) and even printed out fake tickets to make it believable. When she still didn't want to go, he pulled out the ultimate trick: telling her that Bruce Pearl would be there. Of course, there was no auction and no Bruce Pearl, but there was a proposal, and it was perfect! August will always be a special month for this couple. Now here we are, ready to begin the next chapter of our story. And we're so excited to celebrate it with all of you. We're so grateful for our village of friends and family.
