We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Kara's Perspective: We met through our two friends, Chrystian & Aubrey. We texted back and forth for a week before actually meeting. Ryan had seen a couple of pictures of me so he had an idea of what I looked like before we had met. I, however, had no clue what Ryan looked like, I just got lucky that he was really cute on top of having an amazing personality and being a great conversationalist. We went out for sushi and mini golf. We were both really awkward and quiet as we had already discussed a lot of things over the phone. It was nerve-wracking. But things seemed to settle down after I choked and spilled my drink on myself. Ryan thought it was the funniest thing... I have other opinions about it. Then during mini golf I lost my ball, Ryan also thought that to be the funniest thing. He decided he'd like to take me out again for a second date, why he wanted to is beyond me, but I'm very glad he wanted to continue seeing me. Ryan's Perspective: We met through two of our friends. My friend Chrystian randomly texted me one Sunday saying that he knew this girl I might like and asked if I wanted her number. So Chrystian and I talked a bit about her and he sent me some pictures. She was the most beautiful girl that I have ever seen. Later that night I texted her stating who I was and if she would be interested in going out to get to know each other. After talking back and forth we both felt like we could go out on a date for that following Sunday. Before the date had come, I had been praying tirelessly, asking God that if Kara was the right match for me that he would give me a sign. We ended up meeting for sushi and then going mini golfing. It was very awkward at first because neither one of us wanted to talk about ourselves. So all I could think to do was ask the same exact questions that I had already asked over the phone. As the date went on, Kara happened to do the greatest thing imaginable and snarfed her drink all over herself because I had "said something stupid". The mood lit up instantly and we started to actually get to know each other. Once I could stop laughing about what just happened, I received the sign from God that she was the one I am supposed to marry. Every since that moment I have been falling more and more in love with her.

On our third date, we went up to the roof of the ice cream shop. We brought up a pizza and a snack basket that was packed full of snacks from our previous date because we had over prepared, by a lot. We set up my computer, put on The Office, and we stared up at the stars and talked about life and beliefs, we were so in tune with each other it was insane. We both knew then that we were the ones meant for each other.

He had taken my mother out for lunch earlier in the day, discussing different ways that he could propose. He had made the decision that he was going to race me on the roof of the shop. So he showed up at the shop as I was closing up with the plans that we were going to read a couple of chapters of a book we were reading together. He made grilled cheese sandwiches and then we brought all of the stuff up to the roof. He went back down to get some more stuff, and I started to set things up on the ledge that was higher up. When he got up to the roof, he had to coax me off the ledge so that we could set up the rest of the stuff that he had brought up. Once he got me down, he realized he wasn't going to get me to run. So he improvised and got me to look at the stars with him instead. He started to walk behind me as we were talking and I heard his voice get lower to the floor. I didn't turn around at first because I thought he was just messing with me because he had before. I figured he was just holding the box of connolis he had brought. He stopped talking so I finally turned around to see him holding a small red box with the most beautiful ring. I started to cry. After saying yes, he prayed over the ring and then placed it on my finger.
