Maid of Honor
Melody & Rachel have always been an unstoppable (but should be stopped) duo. No matter the stupid idea, or bad judgement, neither could be convinced against something. Over the years Smelody (endearing nickname) made many appearances visiting Rachel and experiencing her military lifestyle. While we all knew that life was never for melly the dream of living near once again never died. This all came to a crashing halt when Aidan came into the picture and tricked Rachel away. Don’t worry Aidan, the adjoining houses are very near in your future. Of course, Melody was hoping to officiate the wedding, however they settled on Maid of Honor.
Best Man
As Aidan’s first friend in life it only made sense that he would be bestowed the honor of best man. He is also the only person brave enough to assist Rachel in waxing Aidan’s back hair, which is worthy of at least a Purple Heart for all parties (including Aidan). Taking a knee in the small of Aidan’s back, he clawed quite inexpertly at the patch of wax, resulting in the most unbearable five minutes of Aidan’s life. Mac has been by Aidan’s side literally since birth, and as long as he’s had his nine hours of sleep, is quite a pleasant person to be around.
Matron of Honor
Jennifer is the eldest of the Duncavage household, and the proverbial big sister. After years of begging her parents for a little sister they finally caved, and much to her dismay she realized Rachel was not the little sister she wanted. She spent the rest of her childhood ruling her siblings with an iron fist (literally for Rachel). Surprisingly enough she has a soft spot for Aidan (no one understands why), and has learned to tolerate Rachel. This being said Jennifer was the one little Rachel looked up to, and makes it only fitting for her to be the Matron of Honor.
Groomsman
When the Wolf isn’t creating cures/the next plague in a lab, he enjoys the finer things in life, namely eating less than digestible food and going for extremely long runs. His most notable achievement includes PR-ing in the Los Angeles Marathon fueled by two Tommy’s chili cheeseburgers, and hopes one day to complete the elusive ‘Treasure Island’. Ronan has been the brains of all Four Horsemen operations from day one, despite being the second to last to join that most prestigious line-up.
Bridesmaid
A few things about Sami, her favorite color is pink, she loves crafts, and is THE hostest with the mostest. She’s the kind of friend that watches your dog and convinces everyone Gus is hers. Stellar Dog Aunt status aside she is given the credit for Rachel and Aidan finally getting together. Kris Jenner works hard but Sami and Eddie worked harder. While Aidan and Sami are besties he doesn’t get the cosmic connection Rachel and Sami have with Homegoods, Target, and TJ Maxx. He still can’t fathom what going on an adventure means to Sami and Rachel, or why it hits the bank account so hard. It truly was a toss-up whether she would be a groomsman or a bridesmaid, but there are some things Aidan will never understand.
Groomsman
Finnbar’s fair complexion comes from living in Aidan’s shadow, opting to never wear his F.J. McOsker working blues, but instead the hand-me-down A.R. McOsker’s. This would otherwise be a very sweet gesture, if it didn’t almost result in him having the wrong shoulder operated on as he and Aidan had the same injury, 4 years apart, and the doctor pulled up the wrong MRI results. What he lacks in common sense, Daisy makes up for in heart, and that’s why we keep him around.
Bridesmaid
Alison is best known for being Zack’s better half. When she is not blaring T-Swift at full volume Tokyo drifting her Rav4 into the elementary she works at, she is undoubtedly adoring her beloved dog Huck. While her obsession with her dog is healthy we cannot say the same for Zack. From jump she was always loudly TEAM AIDAN. So much so that during a family trip to Europe she loudly at the dinner table (full of the entire Duncavage family) exclaimed, “Rachel you need to date Aidan. I don’t understand why you don’t like him.” Rachel will forever cringe at the memory, and Aidan will forever be grateful. Rachel and Alison often bond over bizarre quirks of their significant others. They often think to themselves, “How did Aidan and Zack get so lucky?”
Groomsman
In a twist of quite unfortunate events, Aidan earned the nickname ‘Shrimpy’ within the first 24 hours of meeting Zack, who is already intimidating enough. Zack and Aidan quickly bonded over being mercilessly bullied by their sweethearts. Despite his shaved gorilla appearance, Zack is a big ol’ softy and gave Aidan one of his greatest compliments, “Dude, sweet stache”.
Bridesmaid
Thanks to Mary her husbands family is able to confirm he is in fact alive. We are still unsure if he moonlights as a special agent, but luckily we know if we need something done Mary is on it. Mary is the only person to ever immobilize the Duncavage family. You would never expect it coming from such a darling woman, but if Mary is there NO ONE will be late. It is still not confirmed but it is suspected that Mary is the favorite child of the duncavage family though not blood related.

Luke and Aidan share a bond unbreakable, the call of the sea. As fellow mariners, they were both seduced by the siren song of that most fateful temptress, and thus have a connection that Rachel could simply never understand. Try as she might, she just doesn’t get it. Also, if you like Aidan’s tuxedo, just know that within 24 hours of being told he could pick his own and that was totally his decision, Luke was called in to provide ‘forceful backup’ and ultimately given veto privileges, thanks Luke!
Bridesmaid
You can count on Emily to make you reservations at the most pinky up restaurant in town all the while planning to end the night in the filthiest of dive bars. She is always down to be the life of the party (even though she just wants wine in her PJs). When Emily met Aidan it was the first time she had ever liked any of her friend’s significant others (not saying much). Thanks to Emily the night Rachel got engaged she never worried about a drink in her hand because Em was on the job. That’s the energy expected on Feb 15th.
Groomsman
Mack and Aidan were set up by their parents to be BFFs prior to starting plebe summer, and it only took about a month of knowing each other to connect those dots. A fellow member of Gryffindor house, they both would swear they have a Harry and Ron friendship, a more accurate description would be that of Fred and George, oftentimes opting for shenanigans and tomfoolery rather than feats of daring and gallantry. In spite of this, they still carry out the proud tradition of sending the same text every year (Happy Christmas Harry, Happy Christmas Ron).
Bridesmaid
Rachel likes to say that she forced Izzy to be her friend freshman year in college (Izzy would agree). From doing mildly okay at track during the week to burning Nap Town to the ground on the weekends you could say they had an odd dynamic. Two absolute polar opposites that always made sense. Some say Rachel’s obsession with Trader Joes began with Izzy wo would often wear Trader Joes T-Shirts in the store (turns out they do NOT like that). Now you will find them both obsessed with their children (dogs) and will never again be the dancing queens of nap town.
Groomsman
Cole Slaw has the ‘it factor’ that makes you root for a high school football team that you’ve never seen in person (go Big Red!). He’s a banjo playing, cornbread baking, Pearl Jam loving ‘stretching’ Champion and someone who can always be relied upon for an “I love you and I miss you”. Belly’s a rare breed, who can lift your spirits with a thorough analysis of the thousands of years that led up to the events transcribed in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. Some might call that weird, or even alarming, we call it having that dog in him.
Bridesmaid
This European traveler is one of the few able to say they witnessed the moment Aidan and Rachel met. Unlike you might expect there was nothing to report. She often times found herself getting Rachel in trouble for laughing too much during those fateful plebeian nights. As they grew and matured they realized they would continue to get eachother in trouble by yet again laughter. Triona may be best known as the gal carrying everyone back home to safety after a night of precarious drinking. The question we need to know, is she strong enough to carry Aidan?
Groomsman
Mike was Aidan’s first friend at the Naval Academy, and roommate of all four years. Known primarily for his annoyingly laid back demeanor, it is impossible to stress Mike out. Aidan took on most of his stress at school, some of which was induced by the mysterious case of the missing chonies. Despite his ‘Dazed and Confused’ bearing, he is known by all to be a fiercely loyal friend, and Aidan has certainly tested that in the 9 years they’ve known each other.
Bridesmaid
Tornado Tara can be seen running around Virginia Beach with her two dogs in tow. Who would’ve guessed that a job could bring them so close together? Aidan used to say, “Rachel I think you and Tara would really get along.” He surely regrets it now. Tara and Rachel are a pair no one wanted. Despite being the younger one, Rachel has realized Tara considers her to be her mother. Imagine a crazy dog that needs to be exercised daily in order to be a functional member of society. Now imagine not a dog, but Tara. Now you see why people say crackhead energy? Things to remember about Tara: Rachel is her mother, she is very funny (not to Aidan or Jake), and she runs 60 miles a week (like a psycho). Let her be your reminder to stay crazy.
Groomsman
Despite being the same age as his cohorts, Gus’ wisdom far surpasses those around him (which admittedly is not a very high bar to clear). His “ape together strong” philosophy has made Aidan and his friendship last despite living on opposite coasts for 5 years and only seeing each other once or twice during that stretch. If you see him tearing it up on the dance floor come wedding day, don’t make direct eye contact, offer him a tasty banana, and back away slowly.
Bridesmaid
For those who may not know Allison, Emily, Melody, and Rachel have been running around together since their awkward teens. Allison and her sweetheart have been the guiding beacon of hope for the girls since high school. She is the one that makes sure all are alive and well. She is the one that KEEPS them in LINE! It makes perfect sense that both her and Rachel would have golden retriever partners to match their black cat energy. Of course immediately upon meeting the goldens loved eachother more than the girls. DO NOT try to beat her in any game because she will wipe the floor with you! She is mother. Plain and simple.
Groomsman
Eddie and Aidan’s friendship began at Dillos, when they drunkenly agreed to live with each other post commissioning. Two houses, one dog, and an entire neighborhood convinced that they were in a very serious relationship, Aidan had to break the news to Eddie one fateful fall day that he was in fact in love with Rachel, and wouldn’t be spending the rest of his life in a committed partnership. In spite of this heartbreak, Eddie has remained by Aidan’s side, if only for the opportunity to steal him away if able.
