How We Met

11.09.2016 (or close enough)

We met on a certain phone app dating application that happens to have a logo of a flame ;) Glenn picked the first date location of Liquid Ginger in Gainesville, FL, which he found out was closed when he was driving there. When he texted Danielle about the closed first choice and recommended a second choice, she briefly considered just canceling the date outright. It's a good thing that she didn't, because we had a second date within a few days, and the rest is history ❤️

The Proposal

7.16.23

We had discussed getting engaged and had picked out the ring she wanted, but Danielle had no idea when or where it would happen. We had a trip planned months beforehand to Ohio to celebrate Mylo’s birthday with a bunch of his other friends and a huge Airbnb. Danielle had her suspicions but just before the trip was set to happen, she got a group text from our friend Jake saying that he was planning on proposing to (his now fiance) Emily on the trip. He needed some help planning it, and she was excited to be included in the proposal planning. Little did Danielle know it was all a ruse. We flew up and had a great time at the Cedar Point Amusement Park, and the original plan was for “Jake” to propose to “Emily” on the second day at the beach after enjoying the water park. Unfortunately it rained that day and so plans had to change. We all headed back to the Airbnb to clean up and while that was going on, our lovely friends set up plan B. Plan B was a specially crafted game. The “game” we decided to do was to blindfold someone and give them a nerf gun. Then their objective was to shoot as many people as they could using sound alone. A few decoy rounds were played and then finally Danielle was the one blindfolded and given a gun. She had the absolutely ingenious strategy of quantity over quality. Danielle started blasting in random directions and hit precisely nobody so many people. Despite Glenn doing his best to leap in front of the barrel for a romantic shot to the heart, her erratic movements were completely unpredictable and a wonder to see. After much leaping about, Glenn gave up and claimed that he had been hit in the eye, and the others exclaimed that Danielle should remove her blindfold to help. With cameras secretly at the ready, Danielle removed her blindfold and saw that Glenn was down on one knee.

For all the days along the way
