In August 2024, we were introduced by two of our friends and coworkers who thought we might have something special — and they were absolutely right. Jess was sent Jacob’s Instagram account, and after a couple of days (and some encouragement), she decided to send the first message. We started texting back and forth and quickly realized how much we had in common. A few weeks later, Jacob asked Jess out on a date to The Black Cow in Newburyport. That first dinner turned into a full week of date nights, long conversations, and finding every excuse to be together — and we haven’t looked back since. Over the past year, we’ve shared so many amazing memories together — traveling throughout New England, spending time with our families and close friends, and enjoying life with our sweet dog, Remi. Whether skiing in the winter, golfing in the summer, or soaking up the sun at the beach, we’ve found joy in life’s everyday moments together. Then, on July 25th, 2024, came the best surprise yet. With help from our closest family and friends, Jacob planned a perfect proposal. After a (very convincing) fake cancellation of dinner plans from friends, he suggested we take Remi for a walk on the beach — just like we did on our third date. When we got to Post 10, Jess’s favorite spot on the beach, Jacob got down on one knee and proposed. After saying “yes,” we walked back to the house where all of our closest family and friends were waiting to celebrate with us. It was more perfect than we could’ve ever imagined. We’re so excited to start this next chapter of our lives and can’t wait to celebrate our wedding day with all the people who mean the most to us.
