Masks will be required for all guests during the ceremony. We will provide extras for those who do not bring their own. At the reception, masks will be highly encouraged inside. There will be high-risk individuals in attendance, and wearing a mask intermittently for a few hours is a small inconvenience to keep people safe. We ask that you respect our wishes about this if you want to be a part of our special day.
We are super excited and grateful that safe, effective vaccines are widely available all over the country. As getting vaccinated is a great way to keep all of our guests safe, we encourage people to take advantage of a vaccine before the wedding if possible. However, if you are not vaccinated, we will be REQUIRING proof of a negative test taken no more than 72 hours before the wedding in order for you to enter the ceremony or reception. For guests who are vaccinated, getting a test prior to the wedding is still recommended as an extra layer of precaution, though it will not be required. We hope this goes without saying, but if you are not feeling well in the days leading up to the wedding, please do not attend! We will completely understand and will be happy to celebrate with you at another time when you are well.
If you want to send vaccination information to Jessica or Alex prior to the event, feel free. (After all, that's one less thing for us to worry about on our wedding day!) You can send them to jfroula917@gmail.com. Vaccine proof or negative test results WILL BE CHECKED upon arrival to the event, so please be prepared to provide that information. If you are unwilling to provide proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID test, please RSVP "Will not attend" on the RSVP page on our website. You will be missed, but keeping all of our wedding guests safe is our number one priority. We hope that you can celebrate with us another time in the future.
On our events, we have listed our dress code as "cocktail attire". However, we know dress code terms are sometimes hard to decipher! We want everyone to be comfortable while dressing up a bit. No need to wear a tie or high-heels but we would also prefer that guests wear something a bit more formal than jeans. Ladies, we recommend you wear wedges or flats for ease of walking around outdoors at the reception.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30 PM. Please plan to arrive approximately 10 minutes early to ensure that you are seated prior to the beginning of the ceremony. Additionally, once you are inside the sanctuary and while seated, we ask that all guests respect the sacred nature of the Church and keep conversations to a minimum per Catholic tradition.
No-please keep phones put away and on silent. There is no need to take photos/videos with a camera either, as we have a wonderful photographer and videographer that will already be documenting the ceremony!
Both the ceremony and reception venue have parking on site. We do, however, suggest that guests coordinate with each other to consider carpooling to the reception venue after the ceremony.
Yes! After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking some photos around the ceremony and reception locations. The "cocktail hour" part of the reception starts at 4:15 PM, and you can expect for the newly married couple to arrive at the party around 5 PM. When you arrive at the reception venue, you can either head straight to the cocktail hour or take some time to explore the lovely public nature trails surrounding the reception hall at the Arboretum!
