We’re Getting Married!

Dulce and Andre’s story began in 2012, in an 8th-grade English class. Although they had the same class, they didn’t talk to each other much. Then, throughout high school, they always seemed to have the same Spanish classes together and would occasionally chat. They secretly found each other cute, yet remained acquaintances. ​ As their last semester approached in early 2018, Dulce attended a friend's swim meet in February. During this meet, she saw Andre was on the team and was a bit excited to see him. A little later that day, he came up to her and they began talking. She told him he was good at swimming, and took some videos of his race. ​ Later that night, she messaged him the videos she had taken, and they slowly started texting again. This time, though, they found themselves really enjoying talking to each other. So much so that, for the coming months, they would call almost every night and even stay up until 3 am some nights, even though they had to be at their 7am Spanish class together. ​ They continued talking, and on April 21st, they attended prom together. The rest was history. ​ Fast forward exactly 7 years, on April 21st, 2025, Andre asked Dulce to marry him.
