Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please submit your RSVP by June 1st so that we can have an accurate guest count for our vendors.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 2pm, the ceremony will start promptly at 2:15. We will provide coffee and tea in the parlor of the church, so if you arrive early, feel free to wait there as it is air conditioned!

What if I'm late to your ceremony?

Answer

Doors will close at 2:10 PM so the wedding party can line up outside the church for the 2:15 PM processional. If you arrive after 2:10 PM, please wait at a nearby café and do not enter once the ceremony has begun. If you see the bridal party lining up outside after 2:10 PM, please avoid saying hello as they will be preparing for the ceremony. You are still welcome to join the post-ceremony rice toss. Please arrive outside the church around 2:45 PM to celebrate our grand exit.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a room block at the Holiday Inn - 10 minutes away from the reception venue and 6 minutes from the church. We recommend that you book here because we will be providing bus service from there to the reception and back.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Ceremony: Transportation will not be provided to or from the ceremony at Centre Congregational Church. Reception: A shuttle will run from the Holiday Inn in Brattleboro to the reception at Stone Garden, departing promptly at 3:45 PM. Return transportation to the Holiday Inn will be available at 10 PM.

How is this ceremony going to work?

Answer

Nick and Miranda will be having an interfaith wedding (Catholic and Jewish). So, you may see traditions that are unfamiliar or new to you, we'll do our best to explain what is going on before, during, and after the ceremony. After the ceremony concludes, and the bride and groom recess down the aisle as a married couple, all wedding guests will leave the church and line up outside of the church, preparing to throw rice in the path of the newlyweds. As Nick and Miranda make their grand exit, Nick will smash the glass, as is Jewish tradition, and make their way to their getaway car and meet everyone back at the cocktail hour at Stone Garden.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking for 75 cars at Stone Garden, and plenty of street parking and public lots near the ceremony venue in Brattleboro, VT.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you would like a plus one that was not listed on your invitation, please email Nick and Miranda at nickandmiranda25@gmail.com. We will follow up with you and decide on a case by case basis depending on how many RSVPs we've gotten at that point.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Suits, dresses, ballgowns, pantsuits, tuxes, are all acceptable. This is going to be a summer wedding, so dress appropriately for hot weather in case we get unlucky with the heat. But please do not wear jeans and a t shirt! Also please do not wear white (or off white) if you are wearing a dress or gown. Is there an after party?

Answer

Yes! Come hang out all night at Saxton's Distillery, right next to the Holiday Inn. If you're too tired, no worries, we'll see you some time soon!

Transportation for Bridal Party and Immediate Family

Answer

1:00 PM – Limo for Groomsmen departs Four Columns Inn for Centre Congregational Church. 1:30 PM – Shuttle for non-bridal party guests departs Four Columns Inn for the church. 1:40 PM – Limo for bridal party departs Four Columns Inn for the church. 3:00 PM – Shuttle departs the church for Stone Garden for the wedding party and immediate family for an hour of photos. 10:00 PM – Reception ends. • School buses depart for the Holiday Inn for guests attending the afterparty. • A smaller bus departs for the Four Columns Inn and Newfane Inn. 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM– A sprinter van will run hourly from the afterparty at Saxton's Distillery back to the Four Columns Inn.
