We were best friends in middle school, always sitting together in french class. We dated for a few months in 10th grade but after breaking up we didn't talk again until college. When we dated in college it felt like we picked up exactly where we left off. We went to Sarah Duford and Ben Gould's wedding as dates in 2008 and have been together ever since. Going to two different colleges meant having a long distance relationship which was a challenge but one that we overcame. We settled in Clayton for a couple years, until having another long distance stretch during the beginning of RJ's corrections career. Now that RJ is back in Clayton, we are excited to celebrate the beginning of our next chapter!

We got engaged at the most charming alpaca farm! (I love alpacas, the reasons why are self explanatory) Rj planned a romantic and fun weekend in Rochester for what I thought was a birthday weekend. When we got to Rochester we went right to the alpaca farm for a tour. At the end of the tour we broke away from the group and went to our own little field full of alpacas, where RJ popped the question with a heartfelt proposal. Afterwards we celebrated at Rubino's Italian Deli (the only Italian deli that matters) and enjoyed a relaxing, unforgettable weekend.
