A stop along the TER train toward Chartres, you can get off at 'Versailles Chantiers', which is before your stop to the venue 'Maintenon'. The Palace of Versailles is a breathtaking former royal residence commissioned by King Louis XIV. Marie Antoinette lived at the Palace of Versailles from her arrival as the Dauphine of France in May 1770 until October 1789.
Conveniently located just 25 minutes from the venue, you will find a towering UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Cathedral marks the high point of French Gothic art. The city of Chartres has many noteworthy places to visit including La Maison Picassiette, an entirely tiled home of rainbow colors visited by Picasso himself in 1954.
Once in Paris, head to Montmartre either via Uber or Metro. The basilica is a historic landmark for the Church of France, known for its Romano-Byzantine architecture and stunning panoramic view at the top of Paris and its many arrondisements.
The breathtaking gardens are located in the heart of Paris, specifically in the 6th arrondissement, between the Latin Quarter and Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Created in 1612 by Marie de' Medici, the widow of King Henry IV, who wanted a royal estate and gardens to resemble her native Florence's Boboli Gardens.
