Hotel
If you are staying in Panama for more than the weekend we recommend staying in another location closer to the city to see the sights. The resort where the reception will take place is approximately a $20 uber from pretty much anywhere in the city so its easy to move to another hotel or airbnb. We recommend to not rent a car. The price you see on rental cars is not what you will pay they will not accept you Canadian / US insurance and they will require a $5000 hold on your credit card for security deposit. Uber in panama is very affordable a rental car after you pay for the required insurance will be much more costly than advertised. Driving in Panama is also very different than in Canada, its the wild west and lots of big potholes than can damage vehicles.
