Maid of Honor
From our days in pee-wee dance, to high school cheerleading and theatre, and now to being Maids of Honor in each other's weddings, Alex and I have been through it all. Alex is fun, adventurous, intelligent, and the day wouldn't feel right without her standing by my side. If you see Alex at the wedding, talk to her about- her dogs, Harry Potter, local beer, and how terrible DC traffic is
Best Man
From dumb videos, stats parties, band trips, college hangs, vacations, and more; Eric has been such a close friend of mine since middle school. He is truly one of the best men I know. He is honest, hilarious, sensitive and cultured. I am thankful to call Eric my Best Man. When you see Eric at the wedding, talk to him about music, the Army, Desperado, and The Crazy Man.
Bridesmaid
Billie, better known as Matchmaker Extraordinaire, is the one who convinced me to go on a blind date with a random guy the night before an important Biochem midterm. Lucikly for her, neither of us failed the exam, and luckilyy for me, I ended up with a husband. If you see Billie at the wedding, talk to her about- her dogs, The Office, Pharmacy school, and Hamilton
Groomsman
Richard and I met in college, bonding over music, Phi Mu Alpha, and drum corps. I was initially struck by how genuine and caring Richard is for not just me, but all of his friends. We were roommates for two years and grew close over plenty of meals and drinks. Richard has an analytical mind but an empathetic soul and he has been there for me through the good times and bad. When you see Richard at the wedding, talk to him about his dogs, working out (especially his leg days), and his PhD work.
Bridesmaid
Leah and I met in The Young Americans in 2013 during our New Kid year. By all accounts, Leah and I are polar opposites, but she is the peanut butter to my jelly. She is someone I can count on to be by my side and to call me out when I'm being dumb. She is truly one of my best friends. If you see Leah at the wedding, talk to her about- animals of literally any variety, Halloween, shopping, and creative cocktails
Groomsman
I have known Walt since the day I was born. He is a skilled artist, adventurer, and enjoys engaging with his community. I have always looked up to Walt for his intelligence, artistic vision, and willingness to acknowledge and learn others’ perspectives. I am proud to have Walt as one of my Groomsmen! When you see Walt at the wedding, talk to him about outdoor adventures, his Brompton bike, and his visions for transportation infrastructure
Bridesmaid
Mariam is probably the sweetest, sassiest, and most inspiring person I know. We met during Peer Leader orientation at UC, and she had such a positive and bubbly personality that I knew I had to be friends with her immediately. If you see Mariam, talk to her about- memes, unnecessarily fluffy animals, the successful defense of her thesis (yay! congrats!), and the merits of cakes over cookies
Groomsman
Like Walt, I have also known Doug since day one. Doug has a unique and hilarious sense of humor and a knack for making up words and phrases. One of my most fond memories is when I had a party in Cincinnati and Doug told me he couldn’t make it. He ended up showing up in his construction clothes unannounced. When you see Doug at the Wedding, talk to him about his son Glenn, how to make really good gravy, and his old Chevy S10.
