FAQs

Question

Can I bring a date or a plus one?

Answer

No, we are having a small, intimate wedding and have chosen to invite only our immediate family and close friends. Invitations are only for guests addressed on the invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

No. While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration so we can all relax and enjoy this special day together.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We kindly request that our guests wear shades of blue in semi-formal attire. Think cocktail dresses, dressy skirts or pants with a nice top, or suits and dress shirts—something polished but comfortable for celebrating with us

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

You should plan to be there early. Our Ceremony starts at 8:45 AM. Please note that there is a security check, as our ceremony venue is a government building.

Question

Is transportation provided from the hotel to City Hall?

Answer

There will not be group transportation provided. We recommend taking a rideshare (Uber/Lyft), which is about a 10-minute drive and the easiest way to arrive promptly. Public transportation is also available, with bus routes that take approximately 15 minutes. For those who enjoy a stroll, City Hall is about a 27-minute walk from the hotel.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is self-pay parking near the ceremony. There is no parking on the premises. Civic Center Plaza Garage 355 McAllister Street (at Polk) | 415.863.1537

Question

How to find the ceremony space (4th floor gallery)?

Answer

Enter through the main Polk Street entrance (also known as Dr Carlton B Goodlett Place). After security, walk 25 feet to the elevators on your left. Hit number 4 in the elevator. Upon exiting, make a right, and then an immediate left down a short corridor, until you see a large, spacious area to your left. It will be set up with chairs and a velvet rope and a sign with the couple’s names.
