Our Proposal

Amelia and Sam met online, but it didn’t take long for them to know, they were in love. Sam decided it was time, to find that perfect ring that would show Amelia just how he really felt about her. So, they went together, and found the perfect one and decided to have it made! When it was finished, Sam had to break the news to Amelia that the ring wasn’t to her standard, but not to worry, he sent it back to make it right, but it would be another couple of weeks. To his surprise, a Sam received a phone call informing him that the ring, which was supposed to take two weeks to complete, was done in only three days! He knew he could never surprise her with the ring, but now that Amelia thought it wasn’t finished, the special surprise could still be had. It happened on Amelia’s birthday. It was a sunny and warm September afternoon when Sam asked if Amelia wanted to go for a walk at Acacia park. The park was beaming that afternoon, wildflowers in full bloom, creating fields of yellow and orange. Sam kept trying to find an intimate spot to surprise her; the lake he thought, or over by the fountain. Time and time again there were couples enjoying the very scene he wanted to use. Knowing the walk was nearing its end, Sam noticed a little bench around the bend. Mustering his courage, he asked Amelia to come sit, playing as if he were a little tired. As they approached the bench, Sam reached into his pocket and grasped the ring as they sat down. In a fluid motion, Sam knelt on one knee saying, “Amelia, I love you with all my heart, will you marry me?”. Amelia stared at Sam in bewilderment, no movement, no words. For what felt like an eternity in an instant, we shared silence. Then Amelia proclaimed “YES!”. We took a moment and looked around. Amelia was still in shock. She asked Sam if he had gotten on one knee, not believing that he had done so. The only proof he could offer was he dirt smudge still on his skin, which will just have to be proof enough.
