Things To Do

We're excited to share a few of our favorite places on the island with you! Jekyll Island is a state park, so there are quite a few nature trails, greenways, and marsh overlooks to check out in addition to some fun activities related to the resort itself.
Driftwood Beach

Driftwood Beach

Jekyll Island, GA 31527

This is a really unique stretch of beach on the island. Highly recommend a sunrise walk if you can manage it!

Great Dunes Beach Park

Great Dunes Beach Park

Jekyll Island, GA 31527

This is a 20-acre public beach with plenty of parking, restrooms, volleyball, bocce ball, etc. This is our recommendation if you're looking for a more traditional beach day!

Georgia Sea Turtle Center

Georgia Sea Turtle Center

214 Stable Road, Jekyll Island, GA 31527

This is a really cool (and educational) option right next to the resort, especially for kids. From the website: Georgia’s only sea turtle education and rehabilitation facility. The Center offers the public a chance to learn about sea turtles and see rehabilitation in action with a host of interactive exhibits and experiences.

Landmark Trolley Tour

Landmark Trolley Tour

100 Stable Road, Jekyll Island, GA 31527

Any of the tours on Jekyll Island would be great daytime activities, but we espcially recommend the Landmark Trolley Tour for a quick history of the estate. It's a fun way to see the historic district with guided narration on the Gilded Age moguls who created the Club, and you're also given the chance to look around in one of the historic cottages.

Jekyll Island Beach Village

Jekyll Island Beach Village

31 Main Street, Jekyll Island, GA 31527

Beach Village is the main shopping area of Jekyll Island -- gift shops, restaurants, liquor store, market, general store, etc. for anything you might need while staying on the island.
