The Wedding of Kelly & Christopher

FAQs

Question

When should I book my flight?

Answer

We recommend booking flights no later than 3 months in advance of the wedding. You can also set up google alerts to keep track of the most cost-effective flight options.

Question

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

Answer

We recommend grabbing a taxi/Uber from the airport which is approximately a 25-minute trip and averages €30-45. Uber is available in Dublin and are primarily provided by licensed taxi drivers using the Uber app. In Dublin and throughout Ireland, taxis are heavily regulated. Ireland does also not allow ridesharing unless the driver holds a professional license such as a limousine driers or taxis. Uber is only allowed to operate in the traditional sense with licensed private drivers.

Question

Will transportation be provided the day of the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Enjoy a Guinness, or several, relax, and enjoy the festivities without having to worry about navigating the city.

Question

Why is there nothing on the wedding registry?

Answer

We are beyond grateful that guests would take the time out of their busy lives to join us in celebrating our union in the city that we love. We recognize that there is a financial commitment to joining us in this celebration and would like for all guests to enjoy their experience and not worry about gifts. Your presence at this major life milestone is the gift that we will cherish the most.

Question

Departure from Dublin to the U.S.

Answer

The U.S. preclearance facility at Dublin Airport enables travelers to complete U.S. immigration, customs, and agriculture checks before boarding their flight. This means that upon arrival in the U.S., you will bypass lengthy immigration lines and proceed directly to your connecting flight or destination. Steps to Clear U.S. Customs at Dublin Airport Arrive Early: It is recommended to arrive at Dublin Airport at least three hours before your flight to allow sufficient time for check-in, security, and preclearance. Check-In: Check in with your airline as usual. After checking in, proceed to the U.S. Preclearance area located in Terminal 2. Security Screening: Go through the regular airport security screening. Note that liquids are allowed at this security checkpoint. Immigration and Customs: After security, you will go through U.S. immigration. There are separate lines for U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens. Have your passport, boarding pass, and any required immigration documents ready.
