Jordan and Dukesa met, oddly enough, on Facebook Dating, after they both nearly gave up on the apps. They messaged back and forth throughout the summer, while waiting for Dukesa to move back to Miramichi for college, finally meeting in person on September 7th, 2023. Despite both being awkward at first, they have been inseparable ever since. After finally getting up the nerve, Jordan asked to make the relationship official on September 27th. In October, they introduced each other to their respective families. Despite both of them being incredibly nervous, the introductions went well and they began to fit naturally into each other’s families. Over the following months, they spent almost all of their free time together and fell deeply in love. This only brought the two closer together, as if we were each other's missing piece. They also decided to adopt and rescue a dog, Bubu, who, along with the kitties Zazzy and Shade, completed their little family, for now. While they were preparing for Bubu, Dukesa didn’t know that Jordan was also preparing to propose. On December 18th, 2024, Jordan’s plan was to attach the ring to Bubu’s collar and have her discover it when he picked her up from work. But when Dukesa came out of the school, the ring had disappeared, having fallen off somewhere in the car. Panic set in as Jordan searched anxiously while Dukesa looked on, confused. After what felt like forever, he found it, got down on one knee, and semi-awkwardly proposed. She said yes, becoming the happiest moment in their lives. The following summer, Dukesa took Jordan to her home in the Philippines for a trip the two will never forget. Dukesa got to show Jordan her home country, the home where she grew up, and introduce him to family Jordan hadn't met yet. To Dukesa’s surprise, however, while staying on a beach, Jordan took her on a walk and read her his secretly prepared pre-wedding vows. Now, the two of them are ready to say their official vows together and become a married couple, so they can begin their happily ever after.
